Chelmsford Public Schools - Announcement of a Vacancy for the 2026-2027 School Year Early Childhood Social Worker (Part-Time) .6 FTE The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. Position: Early Childhood Social Worker (Part-Time) .6 FTE Location: CHIPS Description: Under the supervision of the Preschool Coordinator, the social worker will use a relationship-based model to support the psychological and social well-being of preschool students and families. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the social worker will work closely with teachers, therapists, BCBAs and families to conduct observations and therapies in the Chelmsford Integrated Preschool (CHIPS) and community settings. Essential Responsibilities/Skills: • Experience and passion for working in Early Education • Observe, assess and treat children and families in the preschool setting and other natural environments • Provide dyadic work with preschoolers and their primary caregivers • Provide family support, parent training, and case management • Provide consultation to teachers and related service providers • Provide crisis intervention services • Serve as liaison between home, school and community resources • Assist with making referrals to community resources as needed • Participate in the team based initial assessments for special education eligibility • Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation for students • Attend supervision, team meetings, and case consultations * Use a collaborative approach and commitment to working as an integral member of the Early Education team by collaborating with administration, educators, members of the student services team, families and community partners. • Provide social emotional learning instruction and support in the preschool classroom • Appropriately assess and report for suspected abuse/neglect as a mandated reporter • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Other duties as assigned by administration

Salary : $36,685 - $68,892
