We’re hiring a dependable Picker / Packer to join our Longmont fulfillment team and help ensure every order is accurate, professionally packed, and delivered on time.
Role summary
As a Picker / Packer you will be responsible for picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. You’ll work closely with the customer service team and carriers, maintain fulfillment supplies, and use Shopify and shipping tools to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately pick products and pack orders to company standards and quality controls.
- Print and apply shipping labels, prepare manifests, and stage packages for carrier pickup.
- Use Shopify and ShipStation to pull orders, update order statuses, and note exceptions.
- Interact with the customer service team to resolve order issues, special requests, and unique situations.
- Communicate with carriers USPS as needed to confirm pickups, troubleshoot missed pickups, and escalate shipping issues.
- Check and triage fulfillment emails daily for order updates, address corrections, and special instructions.
- Maintain inventory of packing and shipping supplies (boxes, tape, filler, labels, postage) and place reorder requests in a timely fashion.
- Perform quality control checks — verify SKUs, quantities, and product condition
- Assist with returns, exchanges, and basic receiving/restocking duties as needed.
- Keep the fulfillment area clean, organized, and safe; follow all safety and food-handling procedures.
- Meet productivity and accuracy targets while maintaining high attention to detail.
Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience in order fulfillment, warehouse, or ecommerce packing role preferred.
- Comfortable using Shopify (or similar e-commerce/OMS platforms) and basic email communication.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
- Good communication skills and ability to work closely with customer service and operations.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliable, on-site availability in Longmont, CO.
Preferred
- Experience printing shipping labels, using postage/scale equipment, and interacting with carriers.
- Inventory management experience (tracking supplies, placing reorders).
- Familiarity with basic quality control procedures for food products.
- Forklift/hand truck experience a plus (not required).
