Housekeeping I, Part-time

Job Purpose

General housekeeping in all facets of Park operations with ability to attend to Park facilities with integrity and attention to detail.

➢ Essential Duties

• Daily tasks may include a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
• Ensure all facilities are cared for according to standards.
• Deal with reasonable requests with professionalism and patience
• Adhere to rules regarding health and safety.
• Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
• May also include general guest services responsibilities, food service preparation, and event preparation duties.
• Supports the Park Authority’s Vision, Mission and Values statement.
• Maintains a positive example in meeting the needs of staff and visitors.
• Any other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Basic computer skills in various types of basic programs.

➢Minimum Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping or related experience preferred; Any combination of education training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job may qualify.
• Must be available for weekend, holiday, and evening hours. This varies upon Park needs.
• Must have and maintain a valid Driver’s License. Failure to maintain a valid driver’s license could result in termination. Must be able and comfortable driving a van or truck.

➢ Physical Demands

• Walking, standing, kneeling, and bending are required of this position on a daily basis.
• Physical strength to lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds,
• Stamina to work extended periods.

➢ Work Environment

• Employee is expected to work outside 90% of the time, must be comfortable working in park/zoo setting.
