Position Summary:
A Sales Associate is responsible for actively engaging customers on the sales floor, providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating thorough product knowledge, and driving sales by assisting customers in selecting and purchasing products while meeting or exceeding sales goals, all while maintaining a clean and organized sales environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction:
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival, assess their needs, and guide them through product options.
- Answer customer questions about product features, benefits, and pricing with accurate information.
- Actively listen to customer concerns and address them effectively.
- Utilize suggestive selling techniques to promote additional products or upgrades.
- Build rapport with customers to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay updated on all product information, including features, benefits, specifications, and promotions.
- Demonstrate products effectively to customers, highlighting key selling points.
- Accurately answer questions about product compatibility, usage, and maintenance.
- Sales Performance:
- Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Utilize sales techniques to close deals and convert leads into sales.
- Identify and prioritize potential customers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Operational Tasks:
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including merchandising displays and product stock.
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks, receiving deliveries, and reporting low stock levels.
- Process transactions accurately at the point of sale, handle returns, and resolve customer issues.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding sales, customer service, and loss prevention.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build customer relationships and close sales
- Strong product knowledge and the ability to explain technical details
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Retail sales experience preferred
