Position Summary
Stoller Wine Group is seeking a hardworking and dependable Estate Grounds Assistant to help maintain the beauty and appearance of our winery properties across multiple locations. This position supports landscape maintenance, general groundskeeping, event readiness, and seasonal projects. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is willing to learn.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with mowing, trimming, edging, and weed control.
- Plant flowers, shrubs, and trees as directed.
- Help maintain gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas.
- Remove debris, leaves, and fallen branches from grounds.
- Support irrigation repairs and seasonal landscaping projects.
- Prepare outdoor areas for winery events, tastings, and guest experiences.
- Operate basic landscaping equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and utility vehicles.
- Assist with property clean-up following storms or seasonal weather events.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, agricultural, vineyard, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to work on uneven terrain.
- Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with landscaping equipment and power tools.
- Experience working at a winery, vineyard, farm, golf course, or similar outdoor environment.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems.
- Ability to obtain pesticide applicator licensing or specialized landscaping certifications in the future.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
