Personal Chef – Flexible Weekday Schedule (Great for Retired Chefs or Experienced Cooks)
At Chefs For Seniors Tulsa, we believe great food does more than nourish the body — it helps people remain independent, confident, and connected in their own homes.
We’re looking for a dependable, experienced Personal Chef/Cook to join our team as a part-time independent contractor serving clients throughout Tulsa County. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned culinary professional who values flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful relationships with clients.
This role is especially well suited for retired or semi-retired chefs, experienced cooks, and empty-nest parents who love cooking and want flexible, meaningful part-time work. Applicants from all backgrounds and life stages are encouraged to apply.
What Makes This Special
- Choose your own schedule and number of clients (primarily weekday, daytime hours)
- Optional evening or weekend dinner events available
- Enjoy a calm, one-client-at-a-time cooking environment – no restaurant rush or late night shifts
- Prepare meals at a comfortable, unhurried pace in private homes
This role offers the opportunity to continue doing what you love — cooking from scratch and building meaningful relationships with clients in your community — without sacrificing work-life balance.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and cook customized meals in clients’ homes
- Tailor menus to dietary needs and personal preferences
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Provide warm, professional, and attentive service
- Collaborate with our team to continually enhance the client experience
What We’re Looking For
- Culinary degree, commercial kitchen experience, or extensive scratch-cooking experience.
- Confidence preparing a wide variety of dishes from scratch
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Smartphone with data plan
- Food handler’s certification
- Ability to comfortably lift grocery bags and kitchen equipment (approximately 25 pounds)
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A genuine appreciation for serving older adults
This is a great opportunity for chefs who want flexible supplemental income while staying active in the culinary world.
If you’re passionate about cooking and ready to use your skills in a more personal, rewarding setting, we would love to connect.
