Position Overview
The Director of Marketing will serve as the strategic and operational leader of Chefmaster’s marketing function. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both big-picture thinking and disciplined execution. The ideal candidate brings deep CPG marketing expertise, a passion for brand building, and proven ability to drive results across digital channels — including website, social media, and paid digital advertising. This role is based on-site at our Fullerton, CA headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and own the annual marketing strategy aligned to Chefmaster’s growth objectives and brand vision.
- Champion a consistent, compelling brand voice across all consumer touchpoints.
- Identify and act on market trends, competitive insights, and consumer behavior shifts.
Digital Marketing & Channel Management
- Oversee and direct all digital marketing activities, including the company website, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and paid digital advertising campaigns.
- Lead Chefmaster’s social media strategy — setting direction, managing content calendars, and driving community engagement across key platforms.
- Own digital performance metrics and continuously optimize campaigns to maximize ROI.
Campaign Development & Execution
- Translate strategy into integrated marketing campaigns with clear objectives, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships (creative, digital, PR) to deliver high-quality work on time and on budget.
- Oversee content creation that supports consumer education, product launches, and seasonal promotions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Product Development, and Operations to ensure marketing alignment with business priorities.
- Support retail and e-commerce channel marketing strategies in coordination with key account teams.
- Present marketing plans, performance updates, and key recommendations to executive leadership.
Team & Budget Management
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team.
- Manage the marketing budget with fiscal responsibility and a strong focus on measurable impact.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of progressive marketing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within a CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) company.
- Demonstrated track record of developing and executing successful brand and marketing strategies that drove measurable business results.
- Deep expertise directing website management, social media strategy, and digital advertising (Meta, Google, programmatic, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decisions and optimize marketing performance.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills; comfortable presenting to senior leadership.
- Proven ability to manage agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required; MBA a plus.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience marketing food, baking, culinary, or kitchen products.
- Familiarity with the specialty food retail or foodservice channel.
- Experience with influencer marketing and content creator partnerships within the food or lifestyle space.
- Knowledge of e-commerce marketing strategies (Amazon, DTC/Shopify).
