The Test Kitchen Assistant supports the Culinary team with product and recipe testing, documentation, and day-to-day test kitchen operations. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for food, curiosity about small kitchen appliances, and a desire to learn and grow within a culinary product development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with testing Chefman products, recording clear and detailed results to share with the Culinary Project Manager and/or Culinary Director.
- Support data testing for CHEF iQ presets by following test procedures and accurately documenting outcomes.
- Test recipes for Chefman and CHEF iQ to ensure they meet quality and performance standards set by the Culinary Director.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked test kitchen, including daily cleaning and organization tasks.
- Assist with weekly grocery shopping for the culinary team.
Qualifications & Skills
- Culinary degree or hands-on kitchen experience.
- Interest in food science, product testing, or small kitchen appliances is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and testing procedures.
- Curious, reliable, and eager to learn new skills.
- Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site Monday-Friday in Mahwah, NJ.

Salary Range (commensurate with experience)
$45,000 - $48,000 USD
