What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Team Member at CTK Palm Desert position at Chef Tanya's Kitchen?
Greetings future Team Members! Chef Tanya's Kitchen is a growing vegan company currently with 2 locations! This position is hourly PLUS tip pool!! We need some skilled and enthusiastic people to add to our kitchen team! Please have 1 year of high-volume of kitchen experience. Here is what we are looking for:
Shift Preparation:
✔ Coming into work on time and in uniform so you can clock-in at your scheduled time; not before or after.
✔ Check in with the Kitchen Supervisor at the beginning and end of shift for daily information.
✔ Be able to perform your tasks effectively and safely.
✔ Be able to perform duties that require bending, reaching, lifting, and transporting up to 40lb containers, dish racks, and trash cans.
✔ Be able to stand and/or move for up to 6 hours.
Food Preparation:
✔ The ability to learn ingredients, prep recipes and menu builds quickly and accurately.
✔ Comply with health and safety regulations for food production, holding temperatures, food handling, and complete labeling.
✔ Understand that all information you receive is proprietary and should never be shared with anyone outside of the company.
✔ Report to the Kitchen Supervisor any food preparation errors or waste.
Stocking & Organization:
✔ Maintain the cleanliness and neatness of your work area, the kitchen, and storage areas.
✔ “Mise en Place” (everything in place) Always put items and food back where they go so the next team member can find them.
✔ Keep a working knowledge of where back-up stock is kept and keep your area’s product full and organized. (Line / Prep / Dish)
Facility Cleanliness:
✔ Adhere to the Opening & Closing Lists and any other checklists for cleaning duties.
✔ Recycle products wherever possible.
✔ Understand the safety, operation, and cleaning procedures of all kitchen equipment; including but not limited to the dish machine, slicer, ovens, burners, juicing machine, and fryers.
✔ Immediate notification to the Kitchen Supervisor or Chef Tanya, in a constructive manner, anything that is in need of repair or improvement.
