Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food preparation to uphold safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Manage cash handling and cashiering duties accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Upsell menu items by recommending specials or popular dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Support other team members by bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and assisting with host/hostess duties as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS, Chowbus POS, or OpenTable for order entry and billing processes
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse needs professionally
- Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a positive attitude
- Previous experience in serving, bussing, or host/hostess roles within the food industry is highly valued
