Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing basic math skills for order processing.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met while handling food and beverages.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns or special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations, to create an inviting atmosphere for guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, demonstrating excellent guest relations skills.
- Assist in training new staff members on proper service techniques and restaurant policies as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a server or customer service role is preferred but not required.
- Strong math skills to accurately process orders and handle payments.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently serve multiple tables simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure while providing exceptional guest services.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow servers.
