JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a reliable and punctual Route Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate a company-provided large Ram ProMaster 3500 cargo van, transport goods between our Gainesville warehouse and Tampa locations, and ensure safe, timely deliveries.
Weekly Schedule
- Tuesdays & Wednesdays: Pick up loaded van at the Gainesville warehouse, drive to our Tampa location to meet the unloading team, collect empty packaging, and return to Gainesville.
- Fridays: Pick up van in Gainesville, drive to Tampa to pick up produce, and transport it back to Gainesville.
- Tuesday Shift -
4:30 AM - 10 AM
- Wednesday Shift -
4:30 AM - 10 AM
- Friday Shift-
2:30 AM - 9 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company-provided Ram ProMaster 3500 van over long-distance highway routes.
- Transport loaded boxes, cargo, and fresh produce between Gainesville and Tampa facilities.
- Coordinate with the Tampa driver team upon arrival for efficient unloading.
- Collect, secure, and transport empty packaging materials back to the Gainesville base.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
- Secure all cargo properly before transit to prevent damage.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Proven experience driving large cargo vans or similar high-roof vehicles (e.g., Ram ProMaster 3500, Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter).
- Ability to safely manage highway driving and handle light to moderate physical loading/unloading tasks.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and time-management skills.
- Must be comfortable handling fresh produce and transport boxes safely.
