Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning from inception to completion, including venue selection, catering, décor, and entertainment
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, caterers, and suppliers to secure the best terms
- Oversee event marketing efforts to promote upcoming events through various channels
- Upsell additional services or packages to enhance client satisfaction and revenue opportunities
- Manage guest services to ensure a positive experience for attendees, including registration and on-site assistance
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert guidance on event concepts and logistics
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and coordinate necessary permits or licenses
- Maintain detailed timelines and organizational plans to meet deadlines efficiently
- Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback for continuous improvement
Experience
- Proven experience in event planning, event marketing, or related roles within hospitality, hotel management, or restaurant settings
- Strong background in negotiation, contracts, catering, and banquet management
- Demonstrated ability in customer service, guest relations, and hospitality industries
- Skilled in budgeting, time management, and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with events management software and social media marketing tools
- Previous experience working in hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environments is highly desirable
