Position Summary:
The Construction Project Manager will plan, estimate and manage a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. This employee will organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. This employee will be well versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
Essential Job Functions
- Pre Construction Estimating
- Estimate and bid new construction projects.
- Review project specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and establish overall estimate requirements required for a complete scope of work.
- Develop estimate content and perform quantity take offs
- Maintain detailed files of take-offs, pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
- Request quotations from vendors, review quotes for accuracy
- Negotiate and issue subcontract and supplier agreements
- Obtain permits and licenses from the appropriate authorities.
- Plan all construction operations and develop project schedules to meet project deadlines
- Update and maintain project schedules
- Issue subcontracts, material contracts, purchase orders
- Evaluate progress and provide detailed reports that will include breakdowns of project costs and forecasts of remaining costs. Report budget variances to accounting.
- Process change orders to keep project budgets current and accurate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field, required.
- At least three years of related experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
