Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees quality technicians and leads in the production area and helps enforce the quality system for daily operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review all production paperwork for finished goods release
- Initiate, log and investigate quality holds
- Complete internal audits
- Manage calibration schedule of equipment
- Enforce and coach employees on GMPs
- Complete environmental monitoring collection
- Verify pre-operational checks for approval
- Monitor and ensure label compliance with regulatory and customer requirement
- supervise, train and lead Quality Control Technicians
- Ensure all CCP and CQP checks are completed
- Complete and support sanitary design approval
- Enforce color code policy
- Supports Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager
- Manage inventory levels of QA supplies and orders additional supplies when needed
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Perform other duties assigned
Hours & Classification:
The position would be classified as non-exempt employee. The hours would consist of 4:00 pm to 3:00 am Monday through Friday. Weekends and Holidays as needed.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of SQF or other GFSI standards
- HACCP certification
- At least 2 years in quality assurance supervisory or similar role is preferred
- Must be able to work in cold environments
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend for job functions
- Must be able to lift to 40 lbs.
- Attention to detail
- Work experience in the food industry is preferred
- Ability to work independently and with a team
Salary : $24 - $28
