We are seeking a responsible and caring School Bus Attendant to join our team. The School Bus Attendant will assist the bus driver in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their bus ride. This role involves supervising students, assisting with boarding and exiting the bus, and ensuring a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely.
- Ensure students are seated and wearing seatbelts if applicable.
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
- Provide assistance to students with special needs.
- Communicate with the bus driver regarding any issues or concerns.
- Assist in emergency situations following established protocols.
- Ensure the bus is clean and presentable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the bus driver or transportation supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
- Ability to work early mornings and afternoons.
- A background check will be required for this position.
