What You'll Do:
As our Team Building Events Manager, you'll be the architect and leader of our signature events, from initial client consultation to successful execution. Your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-End Event Management: Independently manage all facets of corporate team building events, including client needs assessment, custom event design, logistics planning, contract negotiation, and vendor relationship management.
- Inspirational Leadership: Confidently lead and present to diverse groups of 25 to 100 attendees, delivering engaging and instructional presentations both in-person and virtually.
- Nationwide Travel: Travel regularly (2-3 times per month, 1-2 nights each trip) to event locations across the U.S. and select Canadian markets, overseeing on-site execution.
- Operational Excellence: Prepare essential event documentation, including contracts, invoices, agendas, and presentations, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Collaborative Partnership: Work closely with corporate clients, third-party event management companies, and destination management companies to ensure integrated and successful events.
- Problem Solver: Proactively address and resolve complex issues that may arise before or during events, maintaining a calm and effective approach.
Who You Are:
We're looking for someone with a strong background in event management and a true entrepreneurial spirit. You should possess:
- Proven Events Expertise: Significant experience in managing and executing complex events, ideally in a corporate or team building context.
- Dynamic Presenter: Exceptional public speaking skills and the ability to confidently lead and inspire large groups.
- Problem-Solving Acumen: Demonstrated ability to independently navigate and resolve challenging situations with effective solutions.
- Travel Ready: Willingness and ability to travel frequently for overnight events.
- Collaborative Spirit: A natural collaborator who enjoys working with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Exceptional Communicator: Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Tech Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft Office, G Suite, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
- Physically Capable: Ability to lift and move up to 65 lb. boxes during event setup and execution.
- Mission-Driven: A desire to contribute to a company that makes a positive social impact.
- Educated: A 4-year degree is required.

Location:
This is an in-office position based at our facility in Chelsea (Birmingham), AL, when not traveling for events. This is not a remote role.
