What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Intern position at Cheeley Law Group?
Cheeley Law Group is a boutique firm in Alpharetta, GA that specializes in personal injury law. We take cases with catastrophic damages such as big truck wrecks, car accidents, self-driving vehicle accidents, product liability, wrongful death, personal injury, business torts, and medical malpractice. Despite being small, we take on giant companies and win!
Cheeley Law Group's landmark victories include cases against Johnson & Johnson for women who developed cancer from talcum powder and against General Motors for defective vehicle parts, winning a $150 million settlement in one instance and a $105 million jury verdict in another. We also represented the families of nursing students who were tragically killed in a 2015 truck collision in Savannah. In other notable cases, we secured a $90 million settlement against Suzuki Motor Company for a defective SUV and $40 million against Toyota Motor Company for faulty seat belts.
Role:
An intern would be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Legal research
- Accurate filing
- Case/trial prep
- Writing legal documents such as Demand Letters
- Composing helpful documents such as deposition summaries or medical chronologies
- Other office tasks
- Transportation of documents and materials
Qualifications:
Open to all students or recent graduates from HS seniors and up.
- Must have excellent skills in analysis, writing, and organization.
- Must be familiar with Excel, Microsoft Office, PPT, printers, scanners, and basic technology.
- Must have reliable transportation daily.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Duration:
Full-time
Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm
(Estimated August 10- December 31, flexible)
Office Holidays: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Compensation:
