Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher from 7:00 am -2:00 pm to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in nurturing and educating young children in a safe and engaging environment. As a Daycare Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a positive learning atmosphere that fosters childhood development and encourages creativity, exploration, and social interaction among children. If you have your ECD 101 is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education and developmental milestones.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.
- Manage classroom activities, ensuring that all children are engaged and participating.
- Provide individual attention to children to support their unique needs and learning styles.
- Monitor children's behavior and implement effective behavior management strategies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that meets health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for children.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Experience early childhood education is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is essential.
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
- First aid certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Be able to pass a background check and finger print.
- Experience working with children with disabilities is desirable but not required.
- Ability to create engaging activities that promote learning through play.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine love for working with children and fostering their growth in a daycare setting.
