Job Description
As a Banquet Bartender, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's banquet events. You will be responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation:
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Stock the bar with necessary supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
- Ensure proper portion control and minimize waste.
- Customer Service:
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Anticipate guests' needs and provide prompt and efficient service.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and courteous manner.
- Bar Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, wiping down surfaces, and restocking supplies.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation procedures.
- Follow established procedures for opening and closing the bar.
- Event Setup and Breakdown:
- Assist in setting up and breaking down bar stations for events, including transporting equipment and supplies.
- Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available for each event.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a bartender, preferably in a hotel or banquet setting.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid alcohol beverage server certification (if required by state law).
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, including spirits, wines, and beers.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Strong attention to detail.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
