SUMMARY
The
Strategic Sourcing Coordinator supports Smart
& Final’s Strategic Sourcing Program, which leverages standard negotiations
along with 3rd Party e-Sourcing technology to continuously improve procurement
processes for Private Label (resale) and the not-for-resale (InDirect)
categories of business. The Strategic Sourcing Coordinator is a shared-service
role that offers cross-functional support to Chedraui USA, Inc.’s corporate
departments and other operating banners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
- Works directly for the Director of Strategic Sourcing with cross-functional support to Private Label Product Managers.
- Fully understands the e-sourcing
solution tool, and the ability to make deployment recommendations.
- Trains internal and external eRFX event observers and users on the tool.
- Screens and addresses supplier questions submitted to the eRFX tool and Strategic Sourcing email.
- Works with Smart & Final and Chedraui USA, Inc.’s business leads on leveraged (all or multiple banners) eRFX events, or silo (single-banner procurement only) eRFX events.
- Facilitates multiple eRFX events
and auctions for Private Label categories (resale goods) and Indirect (not-for-resale)
categories for Chedraui USA, Inc.
- “Commencement to Completion” eRFX
event and auction support including:
- Preparing project documentation, setup, communication, and negotiation strategy
- Drafting category-specific eRFX templates to support stakeholder sourcing needs.
- Verifies product specifications for Private Label items are on file for use in upcoming eRFX events.
- Conducts supplier searches to increase participation and competition in eRFX events.
- Conduct internal client and supplier interviews (electronically, over the phone, or face-to-face).
- Documents quantitative and qualitative customer requirements
- Meeting coordination for RFP finalists and Auction participants to discuss submitted proposals with stakeholders.
- Prepares and distributes post-event summary and analysis
- Presents business award recommendations to all levels of management within the organization.
- Develops and Monitors the Direct
eRFX annual schedule for Private Label eRFX events to ensure product managers
meet deadlines for deliverables.
- Updates Direct (Private Label) eRFX schedule ongoing based on the introduction of new and discontinued Private Label itemization.
- Tracking and periodic reporting of direct cost changes for Private Label Categories submitted through the eRFX process.
- Maintains historical data repository for past Private Label eRFX events.
- Facilitates New Vendor Setup for awarded vendors
- Initial Contract Review of business terms and other contract governance functions (contract routing, repository efforts, etc.).
- Data Retention Policy (“DRP”) Support including monitoring of all outgoing documents and media for DRP Compliance. Works with vendor to coordinate destruction of documents according to our DRP.
