SUMMARY
The Regional Human Resources Business Partner manages
the HR function for assigned stores and/or distribution centers within a
geographic region, providing HR consultation for all levels of management
including associate relations, performance management, staff planning,
recruiting, hiring decisions, training and development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include
the following. Other duties may be assigned or required:
- Works with the Smart & Final management team on associate relations matters of coaching/counseling, discipline, and terminations.
- Works closely with Operations management to assess and develop staffing plans, assist with development of internal and external candidate resources, and participates in selection of management candidates.Monitors and reviews turnover with Management to ensure appropriate action is being take
- Identifies, develops and facilitates management training programs as needed to meet store operation’s management needs.Works with the store operations and training departments to ensure management training needs are met.
- Ensures compliance with State and Federal law and Company human resource policies and procedures.
- Conducts and/or assists in the investigation of complaints of harassment, discrimination, wage and hour violations, hostile work environment, etc. and determines and/or recommends appropriate disciplinary action where appropriate.
- Monitors Human Resource policies/programs to ensure compliance and works closely with the company legal department to safeguard the Company’s legal exposure by ensuring all human resources activities are in compliance with labor laws.
- Works with corporate human resources to implement company programs and provides support to store management and associates, including but not limited to assisting the training department with the roll out of new training programs, annual appraisal/compensation plans and the annual benefit open enrollment.
- Conducts and manages the interactive process for employee accommodation requests in accordance with the ADA, FEHA, and applicable organizational policies. Engages with employees and supervisors to determine functional limitations, evaluate reasonable accommodations, and ensure timely, well-documented resolution. Coordinates accommodations, monitors effectiveness, and maintains confidential records in compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
- Researches, develops and implements human resource programs in order to support stores operational needs.
