We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This role will play a key part in supporting financial reporting, month-end close, and day-to-day accounting operations during an important transition period for the company. What You’ll Do
- Maintain the accounting records in NetSuite while also working cross-functionally with the accounts receivable and payable teams
- Own the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with compiling and preparing month-end financial statements for the management team, including variance analysis against prior period and budget.
- Review payroll entries and other recurring transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Have the opportunity to grow into streamlining the consolidation process, prepare note disclosures for financial statements, and assisting with due diligence for financing.
Experience
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
- Degree in finance or Accounting
- Looking for a candidate with 3-5 years' experience
- Experience with IFRS/US GAAP.
- Experience filing GST/PST/EHT/US Sales tax returns.
