Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Product Lead to own the vision, roadmap, and execution of key initiatives that shape the future of Checkmate. You’ll lead a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and analysts to deliver world-class product experiences that delight users and drive business impact.

As a Product Lead, you will play a critical role in defining Checkmate’s product direction — balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility. You’ll combine strong product intuition with data-driven decision-making to build the next generation of shopping experiences for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a core area of Checkmate’s platform.
• Drive end-to-end product development — from ideation and prioritization to launch, iteration, and growth.
• Partner closely with engineering, design, marketing, and leadership to align on goals and deliver results.
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities, measure success, and inform decisions.
• Lead cross-functional teams with clear communication, structure, and accountability.
• Advocate for users at every step of the process while balancing company priorities.
• Establish KPIs and success metrics for product initiatives, and iterate based on performance.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and rapid learning.
  
  

Requirements

• 4 years of product management experience, including 2 years leading a product area or team.
• Extensive experience in ecomm, working with brands, tools that increase and drive revenue/retention/upselling is mandatory. Adtech a plus.
• Proven success building and scaling consumer products or marketplaces with millions of users.
• Strong ability to translate business and user insights into actionable product strategy.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep understanding of user research, data analysis, and A/B testing methodologies.
• Experience with agile product development and working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
• Passion for great design and user experience.

• Technical background or experience working closely with engineering teams.
