Role Overview

CheckAlt is looking for a hands-on Information Security leader to scale and strengthen our enterprise security program. This role will focus on day-to-day security operations, product and treasury security, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the CISO, you’ll work closely with engineering, IT team, risk, and operations teams to embed security across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day information security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, product/application security, and third-party risk.
• Oversee penetration testing and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Implement “Shift Left” security practices in product development and cloud deployment (AWS, VMware).
• Configure and manage security products (Sentinel One, Harmony), SIEM tools, and databases (Postgres).
• Support regulatory compliance, audits, and attestations (ACH, PCI, SOC2, SOX, OCC, FedLine).
• Collaborate with leadership to embed security into business and technology initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of Information Security experience, with leadership in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries.
• Hands-on technical expertise: MCSE, VCP, VMware, AWS, vulnerability remediation, security product deployment, and program/database management.
• Strong knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC, GDPR, NYDFS).
• Understanding of treasury product security (ACH, wire, lockbox, RDC, FedLine) preferred.
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, PMP required; AWS Certification & CCSP a plus.
