Length of Employment: 3-6 month contract
Reports To: VP of People
Travel Required: None
Compensation: $32.00 – 38.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly and subject to applicable taxes
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am-5pm
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Contract Recruiter to support full-cycle recruiting efforts during a temporary coverage period. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for hiring managers and candidates, ensuring a seamless and high-quality recruiting experience across a variety of roles within the organization.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven recruiter who can quickly ramp up, manage multiple requisitions, and operate with a high level of autonomy. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers and the People team to maintain hiring momentum, deliver strong candidate pipelines, and uphold COMC’s hiring standards and employer brand.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Manage full cycle recruiting across a variety of roles (operations, corporate, and/or technical) from intake through offer and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and align on effective recruiting strategies and interview practices
- Proactively source, attract, and engage candidates using a mix of job boards (such as Indeed, Snagajob, and Worksource), LinkedIn, referrals, and networking
- Screen and assess candidates to evaluate skills, experience, and alignment with team and company needs
- Coordinate and facilitate interview processes, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on interview best practices, candidate evaluation, and decision-making
- Manage offer process including compensation alignment, offer presentation, and closing candidates
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the applicant tracking system
- Track and report on recruiting metrics, pipeline health, and hiring progress
- Act as a brand ambassador for COMC, representing our culture and values throughout the hiring process
- Ensure equitable and consistent hiring practices that support a diverse and inclusive workplace
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong full-cycle recruiting experience across multiple role types from entry level operations to senior technical positions and other corporate roles
- Ability to build trust and credibility with hiring managers, stakeholders, and candidates
- Excellent candidate assessment and interviewing skills
- Strong sourcing capabilities and ability to build pipelines proactively
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (such as Paycom) and recruiting tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Worksource, indeed, Snagajob, attending job fairs, etc.
- Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team goals and processes
Education & Experience:
- 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience in an in-house or agency environment required
- Experience recruiting for a variety of roles (operations, corporate, or technical preferred)
- Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and influencing hiring decisions
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter)
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred, but not require
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or using standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Some roles may require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
