Check and Balance Business Solutions is a small accounting services firm that is currently growing. We are searching for a detail oriented part-time bookkeeping specialist who loves numbers, and specifically has Nonprofit experience including Grant tracking.
We are seeking a technically proficient candidate who has experience with QuickBooks (Desktop & Online), SAGE 50, proficiency with Excel, and general accounting knowledge. This part-time position is for someone who loves to continue learning and is passionate about helping to keep our clients up to date with their business finances.
The ideal candidate is seasoned at self managing their tasks/schedule, has current QuickBooks Online experience, is eager to train and has experience managing multiple clients accounts simultaneously. Although this is a remote position, the ideal candidate resides in New England.
Responsibilities:
You will have several assigned client accounts and will need to manage them daily in excellence and on time! You will process daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks including: Accounts payable/accounts receivable, bill/invoice entries, payments/deposits, A/R collections, bank/credit card reconciliations, journal entries, budget development, QuickBooks reports, Excel reports, payroll processing, compiling of financial reporting packages to present to management and finance committees, and other accounting tasks as assigned.
This position is a part-time remote position. Having a quiet designated home office or office space, a dual monitor set-up, and a computer equipped with Microsoft Office 365 (word, excel, etc.) and Adobe PDF reader is mandatory.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Min. 7-10 years of experience in bookkeeping (REQUIRED)
Min. 5 years of experience using QuickBooks Online (REQUIRED: must be recent experience within the past 6 months)
Min. 3-5 years of experience using QuickBooks Desktop & SAGE 50 (REQUIRED)
Min. 5-7 years of experience using Excel (REQUIRED)
Min. 5 years of Nonprofit accounting experience, including billings and grant budget prep/tracking, allocation development, board financial reporting, etc.
Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Accounting
