Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using various equipment such as
pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. - Manage warehouse distribution tasks including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance with OSHA standards.
- Assist with warehouse management system entries for tracking inventory movements and order processing.
- Support warehouse supervisor in maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety protocols.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining proper techniques to prevent injuries.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
- Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
