Cheat Lake Animal Hospital is a multi-service 24-hour small animal/exotic practice in Morgantown, WV. We are committed to serving our patients and clients with the best possible care for their pets. Our Human Resource Representative will support our team of 115 employees in a forward-thinking, positive environment.

As our Human Resource Manager, you will work in a fast-paced veterinary environment with a large team of veterinary professionals. This position will participate in all HR duties with direction from the owners, practice manager, and collaboration with other members of the management team.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and posting employment ads
- Screening resumes and candidates, including contacting references
- Participating in interviews
- Conducting onboarding and training of new employees
- Maintaining personnel files, I-9, and other required forms
- Tracking employee benefits including continuing education; uniform allowance; paid time off; health insurance; 401k
- Tracking drug and background screening results
- Alerting managers to performance review dates
- Participating in performance reviews
- Updating all employee personnel info as needed
- Resolving employee concerns and involving managers as needed
- Participating in disciplinary action
- Tracking and auditing workers’ compensation claims
- Annually reviewing and updating employee handbook
- Analyzing and monitoring employee pay scale
- Annually updating veterinarians’ contracts
- Responding to job and wage verification requests
- Responding to employment reference checks
- Completing miscellaneous human resource duties as assigned
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
