ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform a variety of intermediate-level maintenance and repair tasks throughout the hotel, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring, furniture, and general building maintenance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve maintenance issues efficiently while ensuring quality workmanship and minimal disruption to guests and hotel operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to identify potential issues and complete proactive repairs.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and maintenance work orders, providing professional service and timely resolutions.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to support the reliability, safety, and longevity of hotel systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment performance.
- Safely operate, maintain, and organize tools, equipment, engineering workspaces, and storage areas.
- Assist with meeting room and event setups, including basic troubleshooting of audiovisual and facility equipment.
- Support minor renovation, repair, and improvement projects under the guidance of senior Engineering team members.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Engineer 1 associates while contributing to a collaborative and solutions-focused environment.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with guests, colleagues, leadership, and external contractors as needed.
- Assist with groundskeeping, landscaping, irrigation maintenance, seasonal weather preparation, and other property maintenance needs.
- Support inventory management of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment while assisting with obtaining quotes for repairs and materials as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to expand technical knowledge and maintain proficiency in hotel maintenance practices.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and hotel standards to promote a safe environment for guests and associates.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Engineering operations and overall hotel success.
OTHER:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
