Position Overview
The Collaborating Physician provides clinical oversight to CHE psychiatric NPs/PAs by reviewing charts, ensuring adherence to best-practice guidelines, and supporting diagnostic and treatment accuracy. This role is fully collaborative—no direct patient care required. CHE’s State and Regional Directors provide day-to-day operational support for NPs and PAs.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve medical records as required by state law
- Provide clinical consultation to NPs/PAs as needed
- Support accurate psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Ensure prescribing practices align with APA and SAMHSA guidelines
- Participate in periodic quality review meetings
- MD or DO with Board Certification in Psychiatry
- Must reside in New York and hold active NY license
- Active DEA
- Commitment to quality, compliance, and collaborative care
