The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP) is seeking a motivated and compassionate Financial Aid Advisor to join our Houston Northwest campus. What You'll Do
As a Financial Aid Advisor, you'll play an important role in helping students understand their financial aid options and confidently navigate the funding process for their education.
Responsibilities include:
Meet with prospective and current students to discuss financial aid options.
Guide students through the financial aid application and documentation process.
Explain financial aid awards, payment options, and available funding resources.
Maintain accurate student records and ensure documentation is complete.
Learn and apply federal, state, institutional, and accreditation guidelines related to financial aid.
Work collaboratively with Admissions, Student Services, and other campus departments to provide an exceptional student experience.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive financial information.
Deliver outstanding customer service while supporting students throughout their educational journey.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to learn new systems, policies, and procedures.
Positive attitude with a passion for helping others succeed.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in customer service, banking, retail, healthcare, education, office administration, call center, or other client-facing roles.
Experience in higher education or financial aid is a plus but not required.
