Key Responsibilities:

Secure and manage a network of externship sites for Medical Assistant students.

Ensure a minimum of 40% extern-to-hire conversion rate across assigned sites.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor student performance and maintain relationships with extern partners.

Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements, including TWC regulations.

Collaborate with Career Services and Placement teams to transition externs into full-time employment.

Counsel students on attendance, professionalism, and performance expectations during externship.

Conduct externship orientations and support students with resume writing and interview preparation.

Maintain accurate documentation, including timecards, evaluations, and affiliation agreements.

Track student progress and ensure final evaluations and exit interviews are completed.

Promote the program throughout the medical community via outreach and networking.
Qualifications:

At least 3 years of practical experience in the medical assisting field.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.

CPR certification preferred.
