Chauvin Electrical is expanding and looking for a skilled, motivated electrician with solid experience in residential renovations and commercial build‑outs. We handle full‑scale remodels, service upgrades, troubleshooting, and code‑compliant installations across South Louisiana.
Position Overview
We are seeking someone who can work independently, think through problems on‑site, and deliver clean, professional electrical work that meets NEC and local AHJ standards. This role involves wiring new layouts, renovating existing structures, troubleshooting complex issues, and coordinating with other trades during remodels.
Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial electrical renovations
- Install new wiring, devices, panels, and service equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical issues quickly and accurately
- Read and interpret plans, layouts, and scope documents
- Install customer‑provided fixtures, specialty devices, and equipment
- Maintain clean, code‑compliant workmanship
- Communicate clearly with customers and project managers
- Work safely and follow all NEC and job‑site requirements
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial electrical systems
- Proven troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks without supervision
- Reliable transportation
- Must have own tools
- Ability to lift, carry, and work in attics/crawlspaces when needed
- Professional attitude and dependable work ethic
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with remodels, additions, and service upgrades
- Familiarity with Louisiana permitting and inspection processes
- Ability to run small jobs or lead helpers
Compensation
