Position Title: On-Track Tutor (Floater)

Location: 301 E. 2nd St, Jamestown, NY 14701
About the Position
Chautauqua Striders is seeking dedicated tutors to support students in our On-Track Tutoring Program. Tutoring sessions are in-person at our Jamestown location. We are currently seeking tutors who can float during our small group sessions and cover when other tutors are absent. We are especially interested in tutors who can provide assistance in 8th-12th Grade Math and Sciences.
Schedule & Commitment
- Monday–Thursday 3PM-6:30PM (flexible scheduling possible)
- 10-month commitment (September–June)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized academic support and homework assistance.
- Guide students in strengthening subject knowledge and study skills.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive and encouraging online learning environment.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong behavior management and communication skills.
- Educational background: currently enrolled in college-level courses, associate’s degree, or practicing professional in a related field.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Bilingual applicants strongly encouraged to apply.
