Position Title: On-Track Tutor

Location: 301 E. 2nd St, Jamestown, NY 14701
About the Position
Chautauqua Striders is seeking dedicated Tutors to support high school students in our On-Track Tutoring Program. Tutoring sessions are in-person at our Jamestown location. We are especially interested in tutors who can provide assistance in 8th-12th Grade Math and Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Living Environment, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Pre-Calc)
Schedule & Commitment
- Monday–Thursday 3PM-6:30PM (flexible scheduling possible)
- 10-month commitment (September–June)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized academic support and homework assistance.
- Guide students in strengthening subject knowledge and study skills.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Foster a positive and encouraging online learning environment.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Strong behavior management and communication skills.
- Educational background: currently enrolled in college-level courses, associate’s degree, or practicing professional in a related field.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Bilingual applicants strongly encouraged to apply.
