Overview:

Duties:
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including cakes, cheesecake, Eclairs, cookies, brownies, Tiramisu and tarts
- Decorate pastries using various techniques, such as piping, glazing, and icing
- Follow recipes and ensure accurate measurements of ingredients
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety guidelines
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Experience:
- Previous 2 year experience working as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering setting
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including dough preparation, baking, and decorating
- Familiarity with menu planning and the ability to create visually appealing desserts
- Proficient in using kitchen equipment, such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools
- Understanding of food safety practices and proper handling of ingredients
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of pastry orders
Skills:
- Culinary skills: Ability to create delicious pastries with attention to taste, texture, and presentation
- Kitchen knowledge: Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools used in pastry preparation
- Knife skills: Proficiency in using knives for slicing, dicing, and other preparation techniques
- Catering experience: Understanding of catering requirements and ability to prepare pastries for large events or gatherings
- Food safety: Knowledge of proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards
- Restaurant experience: Familiarity with working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Dietary department: Understanding of dietary restrictions and ability to accommodate special requests

Preferred
