Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 3-12. We offer care to school-aged children in the Valders Elementary School before and after school and to younger children throughout the day.
Work Hours
We are primarily looking for someone available to work mornings and/or afternoons between the hours of 700am to 800am or 300pm to 430/530pm. This would be a great position for a high school student (age 17 or up) or for someone just looking for a few hours of work per week.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure their safety at all times
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions and emotional regulation
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards including first aid procedures when necessary
Qualifications
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices is a plus
- Certification in first aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with families and team members
- Commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes learning and growth
