Position Overview
Menspro Health is seeking an energetic, dependable, and patient-focused Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our fast-paced concierge men’s health clinic.
This is an excellent opportunity for an EMT who enjoys direct patient care and wants to use their clinical skills in an outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is confident with phlebotomy, medication preparation, vital signs, patient education, and clinical documentation and enjoys interacting with patients throughout the day.
This position requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform frequent venipuncture and blood collection throughout the day
- Obtain and document vital signs and pertinent patient information
- Prepare and draw medications for administration under appropriate clinical supervision
- Assist providers with patient visits, procedures, treatments, and examinations
- Prepare exam rooms and clinical areas for daily patient care
- Contact patients regarding laboratory results and provider instructions as directed
- Document patient information accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Review and update patient medical information
- Maintain proper infection-control and clinical safety standards
- Prepare specimens for laboratory processing
- Monitor and maintain clinical and medical supplies
- Assist with appointment scheduling and patient coordination
- Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients as needed
- Provide front-desk support when necessary
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Help maintain an organized, clean, professional, and patient-friendly clinic environment
- Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current EMT certification or licensure as required by the state
- Strong phlebotomy skills required
- Comfortable performing multiple blood draws daily
- Experience working directly with patients
- Ability to prepare medications accurately
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- EMR experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Coachable and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment
- Ability to provide exceptional patient service while maintaining clinical accuracy
