Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of fire sprinkler systems, including verifying proper installation, functionality, and compliance with NFPA standards and local building codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings related to sprinkler system design and installation.
- Perform construction inspections to ensure sprinkler system components are installed correctly according to specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, sensors, and other electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot system issues and verify proper operation.
- Document inspection findings accurately through detailed reports, including identifying deficiencies or code violations for corrective action.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and team members to provide exceptional customer service while explaining system status or maintenance needs.
Skills
- Water Based Sprinkler System NICET II REQUIRED
- Backflow Certified Preferred
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical blueprints related to fire sprinkler systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of sprinkler fitting, fire alarm systems, sensors and NFPA standards.
- Experience with fire sprinkler system maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and service technician responsibilities.
- Familiarity with building code compliance requirements related to fire protection systems and fire codes/regulations.
- Hands-on experience with fire sprinkler fitting and the use of hand tools or power tools for system installation or repairs.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
