JOB DESCRIPTION
Chattanooga Ballet (CHA Ballet) is seeking a full-time Ballet School Director to serve as an ambassador for CHA Ballet, ensuring positive communication and interaction with all students, parents, teachers, and all other stakeholders. The employee will fulfill their role by implementing the curriculum with consistency and enthusiasm, demonstrating a concern for all students without favoritism, and providing the highest quality of professional training while nurturing the love and appreciation of the art form.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative
- Manage the Education Program Manager and Making Moves Coordinator.
- Manage the school’s administrative responsibilities.
- Assign full- and part-time faculty to classes and report payroll.
- Communicate with all CHA Ballet staff and faculty regarding students and classes.
Education
- Prepare and teach classes consistent with designed curriculum.
- Manage evaluations and level placement for all Level 1-Advanced level dancers.
- Direct the advanced student-based School Ensemble.
- Schedule and manage all summer programming.
Production
- Manage all student-related Nutcracker production needs.
- Direct and manage all student performances.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Significant experience teaching classical ballet technique.
- Previous career as a professional dancer considered a strong plus.
- Flexible approach, positive attitude, punctuality, and good work ethic.
- Must be available to work weekends and evenings.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
