POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Custodian (effective July 1, 2023)

FLSA:  Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:  Supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 5-hr, 12-month employment with benefits as specified in the Classified Agreement

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highly motivated; able to multitask
• Must be able to lift and/or move 10 lbs. routinely
• Must be able to lift and/or move 25 lbs. regularly
• Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs. to 75 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to climb step ladders
• Must have the ability to add and subtract and to perform these operations using weight, measurement, volume, and distance

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Provides students and staff with a safe attractive, comfortable, and clean environment

• Empties trash
• Washes windows inside and outside
• Secures building each day
• Maintains lawn
• Shovels snow and remove debris from sidewalks
• Orders and maintains supplies
• OSHA compliant
• Maybe required to obtain a Pesticide User License
• Complies with School Board Policies and Regulations

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Participates in professional development activities
2. Presents and communicates in a professional manner
3. Performs other duties as assigned by Principal/Supervisor
