Location: Seattle, WA
Hyperproof is reinventing how engineering teams build software in the age of AI. As a Software Engineer Intern on the AI Developer Productivity team, you'll build internal tooling and automation that leverages LLMs, agentic workflows, and modern developer platform tech — and you'll do small, well-scoped feature work in our products to ground your understanding in how real systems behave.
Tech stack includes TypeScript, Node.js, React, Java, C#, PostgreSQL on Azure Kubernetes Service.

$26/hour (based on experience and certifications; rates for WA, CA, NY, and all USA locations)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Ship measurable improvements to developer productivity (PR cycle time, CI duration, AI-assisted PR throughput)
- Write clean, well-tested code with thoughtful unit and integration coverage
- Contribute to internal developer documentation, CLAUDE.md skill files, and MCP server configurations
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related applied sciences discipline
- Curious about how AI is changing software engineering
- Comfortable with Git, command line, and at least one modern language (TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or Go)
- Familiar with REST APIs and willing to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong written communication skills
- AI-Assisted Code Generation & Review: Work with Claude Code and GitHub Copilot; evaluate automated code review tools like CodeRabbit
- AI Agent Development: Build automated agents for bug triage, PR classification, and error-to-fix workflows
- Developer Context & Tooling: Author CLAUDE.md skill files, MCP server configs, and prompt engineering improvements
- CI/CD Optimization: Contribute to test impact analysis, flake quarantine, pipeline parallelization, build acceleration
- Engineering Platform for AI: Help provision multi‑environment dev setups and authenticated MCP servers
- Metrics & Measurement: Build dashboards for PR throughput, Claude usage, code coverage, developer sentiment
- AI-Powered Observability: Explore AI diagnosing production errors from telemetry and suggesting fixes
- Foundational engineering: Work on TypeScript/Node.js/React frontend and Java/C# backend services (scoped features and bug fixes)
- Work directly with a mentor, write automated tests, and document what you build
- Hands‑on familiarity with at least one AI coding assistant (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) and opinions on their strengths/weaknesses
- Solid fundamentals in TypeScript, Python, Java, C#, or Go
- Curiosity about prompt engineering, agentic systems, MCP
- Bonus: experience with CI/CD systems, observability tooling, or building developer tools
$26/hour (based on experience and certifications; rates for WA, CA, NY, and all USA locations)
