IT Software Engineer Intern (Recent Graduate) – Salesforce & AI Solutions

Location: Raleigh, NC or Burlington, MA (Hybrid; local required, no relocation provided)

Type: Paid hourly internship (3 months) with intent to convert to full-time

Role Overview

We are seeking recent graduates for a three-month internship program focused on Salesforce development, enterprise solution delivery, automation, and AI-enabled innovation. Interns will work directly with technical leaders and business stakeholders, gaining exposure to enterprise application development, system integrations, Agile delivery, DevOps, and practical AI implementation. AI tools will be used throughout daily engineering tasks, including coding, testing, troubleshooting, analysis, documentation, and workflow optimization, as well as building AI-powered applications, agents, and automations.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business teams to gather requirements and design scalable technology solutions
• Build, enhance, and support applications, automations, workflows, and integrations within Salesforce ecosystem
• Use AI tools in daily engineering workflow for coding, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documentation, and optimization
• Develop AI-powered solutions, agents, copilots, and automations interacting with Salesforce data
• Design and implement scalable AI-enabled workflows and operational automations
• Support Agile delivery across full SDLC (design, development, testing, deployment, monitoring)
• Work with APIs, integrations, and enterprise platforms for system connectivity
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, operations, and business stakeholders
• Evaluate emerging AI capabilities and automation opportunities
• Learn enterprise software engineering best practices, architecture patterns, and DevOps

Requirements

• Recent graduate (or graduating Summer 2026) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Passion for technology, software engineering, automation, and AI
• Practical AI implementation experience (internship, work, school, or personal)
• Effective communication with technical and business audiences
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn
• Experience from internships, research projects, hackathons, student orgs, or personal projects valued
• Exposure to programming, scripting, APIs, databases, or cloud technologies required
• Interest in enterprise platforms and business process optimization

• Exposure to Salesforce, CRM systems, or cloud platforms
• Experience building AI-powered applications, automations, or agents
• Understanding of Agile development concepts

Compensation

$28.00–$35.00 per hour
