About The Role
RVO Health is seeking a Data Scientist to join a fast-moving team focused on building ML and AI solutions for consumer health behavior change products. This role will work on problems where models directly influence real health outcomes for millions of users.
What You'll Do
- Design and build evaluation pipelines for AI and LLM output quality.
- Apply NLP techniques to clinical and claims data for insights.
- Build and improve search and retrieval systems using semantic search and RAG.
- Develop and ship generative AI applications.
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineers to solve health problems.
- Stay current on state-of-the-art techniques.
- Lead cross-functional execution with stakeholders.
- Contribute to an inclusive team culture.
- Comfortable owning problems end-to-end and shipping fast.
- Experience with Generative AI & LLMs (prompt engineering, RAG, LangChain).
- Experience in Evaluation & Measurement of AI/LLM output quality.
- Experience with Clinical NLP & Claims Data.
- Experience with Search & Retrieval systems (semantic search, RAG).
- Experience with Behavioral modeling for health behavior change.
- Strong Python skills, experience deploying models in production.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and NLP techniques.
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or RAG.
- Hands-on experience with healthcare data.
- Demonstrated ability to move from research to production.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts.
- Bachelor's or Master's in a quantitative field, or equivalent industry experience.
