What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valleyland Teacher position at CHATFIELD PUBLIC SCHOOLS?
Valleyland School-Age Care teacher, Mon-Fri, 2:30-5:30 p.m. Lead for 3 year olds, Monday and Thursdays. Desk attendant and float on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Morning hours available, if interested.
General Definition of Work
Performs intermediate administrative support work performing various front desk duties and child supervision. Working directly under the supervision of the School Age Childcare Coordinator. Before and after school hours available. Applicants that do not have after school activity commitments are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions
General knowledge of practices, methods, and techniques used with children; ability to maintain confidential files and information; dependable; ability to maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, and co-workers; lead activities as directed by the lead teacher or SAC Coordinator; follow daily plan for the room: manage arrival and dismissal and other desk duties; follow schedule for student’s activities outside of SAC - ball, summer school, swim lessons, etc.; interact with children; discipline as needed; keep lead teachers updated regarding student behaviors and needs; prepare room as needed; supervise and provide direction for classroom assistants.
Special Requirements
CPR certification - must be obtained within first month of hire.
First Aid certification - must be obtained within first month of hire.
