AstraZeneca – Quality Control Laboratory Specialist (QC Analyst I)
Location: Bogart, GA (100% Onsite)
Contract: 12 Months (W2)
Role Summary
Hiring a QC Laboratory Specialist to support QC Microbiology testing for commercial and clinical manufacturing. This role will help support expanded 7-day production operations and requires flexibility for weekday and weekend coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform microbiology testing including:
- Bioburden testing
- Endotoxin testing
- Microbial identification
- Growth promotion testing
- Environmental monitoring
- Support QC activities for raw materials, products, utilities, and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate GMP documentation and laboratory records.
- Follow SOPs and ensure compliance with cGMP requirements.
- Prepare reagents, maintain equipment, manage lab supplies, and support investigations.
- Identify testing issues and communicate deviations or corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of QC Microbiology or pharmaceutical laboratory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
- Experience in a regulated laboratory/manufacturing environment.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques, cleanroom practices, and GMP standards.

- LIMS experience
- Paper-based GMP documentation systems
- Pharmaceutical, biotech, or related microbiology laboratory experience

- Comfortable working independently, including weekend shifts.
