Job – R & D Technician
Location: Colorado Springs, CO – Onsite
Duration: 18 Months
Job Overview:
This role is for an R&D Technician who will work closely with R&D Engineers and NPI Technicians to test, troubleshoot, and characterize electronic prototypes. The position requires hands-on electronics experience, technical problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in an Electrical Static Discharge (ESD) controlled environment.
- Calibrate and run automated tests on prototypes.
- Troubleshoot prototype issues and identify failure modes.
- Run scripts to determine failure modes and communicate findings to the R&D team.
- Execute automated performance characterization tests under temperature and humidity conditions.
- Collect and communicate characterization data.
Required Skills
- Experience with electronic-mechanical assembly, including torque drivers.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to communicate technical issues effectively.
- Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional team environment.
- Flexibility and tolerance for ambiguity and change.

Experience & Education
- 3–5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, NPI environment, or equivalent.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- General knowledge of electronics and electronics manufacturing.
