Order Picker 1st shift

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Vernon Hills, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent organization, and hands-on experience with shipping systems, ERP software, and WaveRunner operation. This position plays a key role in maintaining shipping accuracy, tracking inventory, and ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare, package, and process outgoing shipments
• Create and verify shipping documentation (labels, bills of lading, packing slips)
• Input and track shipment data using ERP systems and shipping software
• Generate daily and weekly reports for shipping and inventory activity
• Schedule carrier pickups and communicate effectively with logistics partners
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and deliveries
• Operate WaveRunner and RF scanners to handle inventory and shipping tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Support team goals and contribute to continuous process improvements

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
• Must have experience operating a WaveRunner
• Strong computer proficiency, including ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to generate and interpret shipping/inventory reports
• Skilled in using RF scanners and digital documentation tools
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
• Forklift certification a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
