What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Chase International Real Estate?
Bookkeeper – Brokerage & Core Services Support
Reno, Nevada | Full-Time | $50,000–$65,000 base, depending on experience | Company-paid medical | Flexible scheduling | Occasional work from home
Looking for a place where you can grow beyond routine bookkeeping? An established real estate and affiliated-services organization is seeking a dependable Bookkeeper who wants hands-on experience, mentoring and a path to become a stronger full-charge accounting professional. You will work directly with our Accounting Manager, who is highly experienced in the companies’ transaction flows and specialized operating processes, and you will also receive technical and professional mentoring from our Controller and CFO. Together, these roles form a cohesive accounting leadership team that will help you learn a sophisticated, high-volume, multi-entity accounting environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already understands basic bookkeeping and accounting and wants to build deeper experience. You will initially provide meaningful support to the real-estate brokerage accounting desk while learning specialized industry operating systems, the QuickBooks general-ledger environment and Core Services accounting workflows. We are willing to invest in the right person through structured training, cross-training and mentoring.
What We Offer
Competitive base salary within the posted range, based on experience and demonstrated capability.
Medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.
Flexible scheduling designed to support reasonable work-life needs while meeting accounting deadlines and business requirements.
Occasional work-from-home flexibility after training and once the employee demonstrates the ability to perform the position independently. This is not a fully remote position. Hands-on training in specialized real-estate and affiliated-service operating systems and their integration with QuickBooks.
Ongoing mentoring and professional development from a cohesive accounting leadership team: the Accounting Manager provides hands-on operational training and deep knowledge of the companies’ transaction flows; the Controller provides technical accounting and close guidance; and the CFO provides financial and professional mentoring.
Cross-training across multiple businesses, creating broader accounting experience and stronger advancement potential.
A stable professional environment where strong performers can expand responsibility as their capabilities grow.
Primary Responsibilities
· Assist with AP/AR, commission-related accounting and high-volume transaction processing.
· Prepare bank and credit-card reconciliations and routine balance-sheet reconciliations.
· Prepare routine journal entries and supporting schedules under review.
· Assist with month-end close, account analysis and documentation.
· Learn industry-specific operating reports and how they reconcile and bridge into QuickBooks.
· Provide direct recurring production support and backup for the Accounting Manager.
· Cross-train across Brokerage and Core Services to build dependable backup coverage.
Qualifications
· Approximately 2–5 years of solid bookkeeping/accounting experience preferred.
· Working knowledge of debits and credits, AP/AR, reconciliations and journal entries.
· QuickBooks and Excel experience preferred.
· Strong attention to detail, reliability, follow-through and willingness to learn specialized systems.
· Accounting degree or coursework is helpful, but practical experience and demonstrated ability are equally important.
This is a growth position, not a dead-end bookkeeping job. The right person can build toward full-charge responsibility through structured training, cross-training and direct mentoring. The Accounting Manager will be central to the day-to-day training because of her extensive knowledge of the companies’ transaction flow and operating systems, working together with the Controller and CFO as a cohesive accounting leadership team. We will teach our specialized systems and workflows; we are looking for someone who brings solid fundamentals, dependable work habits, curiosity and the desire to grow.
